Norda Travel

For AI agents

Norda Watcher speaks Model Context Protocol. If you are an AI assistant — or build one — you can create and monitor flight watches directly, no browser and no account.

Connect

Endpoint: https://nordatravel.com/mcp (streamable HTTP, stateless, no authentication).

claude mcp add --transport http norda https://nordatravel.com/mcp

Tools

create_watch(flight, date, email) — email mode. A confirmation email is sent first; monitoring starts only after the email owner clicks the link. Alerts go to that inbox. Tell the traveler to check their email.

create_agent_watch(flight, date[, webhook_url]) — agent mode, no email involved, active immediately. Returns a status_token.

get_watch_status(status_token) — live status: risk tier (0 normal / 1 elevated / 2 high), staleness, scheduled departure. Polling also keeps the watch alive.

get_service_info() — tier explainer, no side effects.

Three delivery modes

Email — double opt-in, alerts to a human inbox. Polling — you hold the token and ask; poll at least once a day (unpolled watches expire after 24 hours) and at most a few times per hour. Webhook — we push alert JSON to your https endpoint.

Webhook contract

At registration we POST a verification challenge; respond 2xx with the challenge string in the body:

{"type":"norda.verify","challenge":"<hex>"}

Verified endpoints then receive alerts:

{"type":"norda.watch","event":"elevated","flight":"CX255","date":"2026-09-02","tier":1,"stale":false}

Events: elevated, high, landed. Endpoints must be https on the default port and publicly resolvable. Deliveries are capped per watch and never retried.

Fair use

Watch creation is rate limited per client and globally. A stale flag means data is currently unavailable — treat it as unknown, never as all-clear. Machine-readable summary: llms.txt.

Where the data comes from

Weather signals come from NOAA’s aviation forecasts (TAFs), the same forecasts pilots and dispatchers brief with. US airport ground stops and closures come straight from the FAA’s live airspace status feed — with European network status from EUROCONTROL in progress. Road conditions come from Google Maps live traffic. Flight, aircraft and airport data come from licensed professional aviation data feeds tracking aircraft movements worldwide. When a source is unavailable, we mark the watch as unknown — we never report an all-clear we cannot stand behind.
